New Mirror’s Edge Trailer Looks Awesome

Awhile back, we saw a few screenshots for Dice’s upcoming game, Mirror’s Edge, along with a description that sounded pretty impressive. Now we finally get to see some in-game footage and, yeah, it really does look awesome. The game will have you playing a messenger of sorts in the future, where you’ll have to run across rooftops and use parkour moves to get to your destination. You’ll also have to sometimes fight people who are chasing you in hand-to-hand combat. What’s most interesting though is that all of this takes place in the first person. As you can see from the video, this looks like it could breathe some new life into the FPS genre.
All I have to say is Wow. Just another reason to get the PS3. (The music choice is amazing too–and the revolutionary idea of an FPS that’s something else than a ‘kill-em-all’ is really quite ingenious)

But yeah the game looks amazing, I read about it in (I forget which magazine) but once I read it, I thought to myself “I’m getting this…” Now with some gameplay, this really adds to my excitement.
Really? Are we still doing the console war thing? I thought we’d all be over that by now… oh well.
The trailer does look amazing and I’m hoping they have this game on display at E3.
Cant wait till it comes to the pc. Dice comes through for the pc gamers. Were awesome.

Not sure about the whole primary colors thing… might get on my nerves after staring at the same bright red, blue, and yellow shades ingame.

Better yet, there’s a rumor going around that they are going to release the soundtrack shortly before the actual game! W00T! Ima buy this on PC and PS3 just because I feel they deserve the money for being truly innovative, not like nintendo making me play games with the stupidest system ever made. Just yesterday the strap broke and the remote went flying into and THROUGH my tv. Roll on Q4 2008!
