Alright Konami, you win. We surrender. Metal Gear Solid looks to be everything we thought it could be. Between the recent gameplay footage, and these amazing screenshots, it seems you have made something less like a game and more near liquid awesome. PS3 or Xbox 360, we don’t really care at this point. When it comes out, we will buy it, offering our pithy sacrifices to the visual masters behind this developer.

The Metal Gear games have become standards of the industry, and Sons of Liberty seems prepared to continue that tradition. My only reservation is that Metal Gear Solid 3 was HEAVY in the dialog department. I’m all for story and everything, but there’s no reason I need a 20 minute dissertation on the popularity of Godzilla movies every time I save my game.
Stick with what works Konami, these visuals. Zip the lip a little bit in this version, and you may just have a winner on your hands.
