New Madden 08 Screenshots

Ea Sports has seven new Madden NFL 08 screenshots out. These action oriented shots really highlight just how far Madden has come over the years. Facial details are good and you can see muscle structure in exposed limbs; a far cry from the block figures of yesteryear. They aren’t quite photo realistic yet, but they aren’t too far off.

Unfortunately you can only polish the graphics to a certain point on games like these where there is an iteration every year. With the return o f2KSports football game maybe the Madden team will have to innovate the gameplay more. Though how much can you innovate a game that has real rules like football? There are only so many ways to pass a ball in a game and to control a receiver or lineman. I guess I’m just one of those guys who has grown tired of Madden in the last few years. Maybe I’ll just take a few years off.
