New Grand Theft Auto IV Screenshots

Now that we know when GTA IV is coming, we can expect to see new details, information, screens and videos to be slowly released over the next few months. Today’s new GTA IV sampling comes in the form of new screenshots.

The screens show, among other things, a truck on fire just underneath a bridge that connects two burrows, Niko riding a bike while being chased by a car (looks like a Stallion, if memory serves me right and cars share their old names), two helicopters and other police cars chasing a car with the license plate ‘Liberty City,’ and a cop holding Niko at gunpoint.

They’re all pretty good looking – certainly nothing Crysis-mind blowing, but definitely a major upgrade over GTA III’s engine. It definitely look like the game has a slightly-stylized look, a la previous installments.

I don’t want to jinx it, but I cannot wait until we get a video with in-game footage.
