New Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising Trailer

Back in June I posted some screens and a trailer for Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising. If you have not signed up for the beta, the website sill has it listed so get over there before it closes. This looks like it is going to be one cool MMO.

In Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising, players become classic heroes of the ancient world, born of immortal blood. As a scion of the gods, each player will have the opportunity to pursue his destiny through a series of Epic Quests that will span all levels of gameplay, over time commanding amazing God Powers and acquiring famous weapons and treasure of myth.

The developers are constantly adding elements to the game, and the newest is “Skybox”. This new feature dramatically lights the sky, water, clouds, and the environment. Skybox simulates the actual sky with atmospheric changes and it will move along with your character – just like the real sky, it will seem closer the higher up you are, or farther away when you are at or below sea level. Real-time day and night with the sun and seasonal changes, and the moon will gradually wane and expand as your character’s month wears on.

Skybox features and screens:

• fully dynamic clouds that use volumetric lighting
• cirrus, cumulus, stratus, and storm clouds
• control of everything from the color to density when the sunlight passes through
• dynamic bloom and lighting on the sun and moon
• ability to change the sun and moons position in the sky
• change seasons in the game
• the sky is locked to your camera and turns with you
