Apparently some gameplay demos and a new trailer for the PS3 exclusive 8 Days was privately shown to a few lucky individuals by Sony-London during last week’s GDC. While this nice little taste of the game came without any “set” release date, it is supposedly going to hit shelves sometime in October and an official announcement should be forthcoming from Sony sometime next month.
According to reports, the entire game with have a time-line of eight days and during the course of the week and a day, you must achieve all of your goals. The biggest part of the game will be the map system, which includes states that you must cross and is reportedly one of the largest game maps for any console to date. You will never have time to linger in one place too long, and once you have visited a spot on the map you will never go back to it again. The neat thing will be the incorporation of the Google Maps system which will “tie into a real-life clock” which basically means that whatever time of the day you are playing the game, the same time frame will be occurring in-game as well.
Hopefully all questions relating to 8 Days will be revealed during the press release next month. In the meantime, visit the link below for some more information on Sony’s 8 Days. Details on this game are sketchy at best, but what we do know sure sounds very interesting, and by the looks of the trailer from E3 2006, it looks interesting too.

I know what I want for my birthday. That looks very impressive.
wow…

I hope they weren’t expecting me to belive that was real gameplay. Obviously they did a cut scene and stuck a little ammo indicator in the corner to make people think its really going to be like this. That just makes me sick.
Now if the gameplay ends up being anything relitivly close to this then I will eat my words and take a beating like a real man.
looks like a more realistic version of stranglehold =/
