Activision has released a new patch for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Official patch version 1.7 fixes an multiplayer exploit which may upset some players. However it fixes the Chinatown Sabotage overtime crash and problems with MP icons showing up in English on multilanguage installs. Here are the v 1.7 patch notes.
Call of Duty v1.7 fixes :
Fixed an exploit that allowed players to access certain console dvars during multi-player matches.
Fixed a crash that could occur when a Chinatown Sabotage match would go into over-time.
Fixed a bug where the MP icons (Bomb, Defend, Capture, etc) were always showing up as English regardless of the install language.
You can grab the patch below. Check out FileFront for Maps Levels and Missions, mods, unofficial patches and skins for CoD4.

I don’t understand how this stands alone as a patch of 1.6 to 1.7 since it only changes 3 things that didn’t dramatically change game play. If you ask me, it should only be a 1.65 or something like that.
Is this patch also on the 360’s version?
No.. its not for 360!
hey the patch does do something big, it stops people flying aroung in ufo mode, it stops non oldschoool matches turning into oldskool cuz the host hacked and more wiich i cant be assed to explain
