requiem: bloodymare

On Saturday, Gravity Interactive sent us a press release regarding their upcoming MMO Requiem: Bloodymare, which promises to bring a bit of horror and nightmarish combat to online gaming. As promised, they have sent us some screens for the game and while they are impressive looking, I have to admit I was most pleased to see the body parts flying. Looking over these screens, you will understand immediately why this title is geared towards a mature audience, what with the decapitations, dismemberments, and pints and pints of blood. Nice.

Not only are the battle scenes graphically pleasing, the screens showing the nightmarish creatures that roam during the night and the shots showing off the visual differences between night and day in a city location, give you an overall pleasing first impression. Now, we only have to wait until March rolls around to finally delve first hand into the gameplay – and hopefully, it will be as gratifying as the screenshots. Gravity Interactive have promised us a trailer in the near future, so check back often to see what wonderful horrors lie in wait.

Mark my words: This is just another Korean grindfest in a somewhat pretty package (looks like a 5 year old game with ragdoll tacked onto it).
