BTW you might be interested to know that Best Buy have just officially announced that they will be recommending Blu-Ray to customers from now on and promoting Blu-Ray more in stores. I suppose they were paid off by Sony as well

Blu-Ray technology was developed jointly by Sony & Pioneer and launched by the Blu-Ray disk association consisting of 9 electronics companies. The only people who think Blu-Ray = Sony are retarded Xbox 360 fanboys. Its hilarious that HD-DVD supporters seem to think Sony have paid everyone who supports Blu-Ray. People are switching to Blu-Ray exclusivity because its the leading HD format worldwide and they need to get behind the leader to end the public uncertainty and get people buying players and disks. The fact is that Blu-Ray has sold more stand alone players worldwide than HD-DVD, it has a far higher public awareness worldwide than HD-DVD, there are loads of BluRay burners on sale but no HD-DVD ones and Blu-Ray has nearly 10m players in PS3's.

Everybody who has bought a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD player over the last year or so knew exactly what they were getting into. They knew it was almost certain that one of the formats would die off early so its pretty pathetic to whinge about it when your one does. If Blu-Ray were dying I very much doubt you would be calling for companies to still support them. Sony did not pay off Warner for exclusivity but HD-DVD DID pay Paramount. i doubt you were complaining about that and saying it was unfair on the millions of Blu-Ray owners. You should just grow up and accept that your idiotic Sony hatred made you choose the losing side.

Would you be crying foul if Toshiba had bought off everyone and Blu-ray was being dropped in favor of HD-DVD?

Just freaking retarded Netflix. With more than a million HD DVD players out there and more being sold on a daily basis with the new low prices, there is no doubt that there is an HD DVD customer base! You just don't want to take care of your HD DVD customers and instead are drinking the Blu-Ray Kool Aid. How much did Sony pay you? They paid Warner $500 million for their support and I am sure they bought you off as well.

"From the Netflix perspective, focusing on one format will enable us to create the best experience for subscribers,"

Total Bull$hit! The best experience is to take care of your HD DVD customers and not being a Sony prostitute!
