NES Zapper with a Real Laser

Have you ever had an urge to turn a simple toy into an instrument of pain (short of chucking a controller at someone that is)? Then you might be interested in a new Instructables that shows you how to outfit an old NES zapper with a real laser. The creator of this device stresses that it should not be used as a laser pointer and demonstrates by popping a balloon with it in a video. Still, it’s pretty cool that you can now turn a Zapper into something that can actually “zap.” Maybe now I can finally shoot that damn laughing dog in Duck Hunt.
