Need for Speed Carbon Patch

If you intend to play Need for Speed Carbon (EA) online, you must upgrade using patch v1.4 , otherwise you will not be able to race online. It seems that the issues are mainly Vista specific, which is not surprising considering that Vista is a giant monster who feeds on your children, pets, and every thing that is pure and good in this world.
The following issues have all been resolved:
- VISTA SPECIFIC. NFS Carbon Crashes on bootup on Vista with the patch 1.3 installed due to an allocator mismatch between bware and renderware. Patch 1.4 fixes the Vista crash by fixing the mismatch.
- VISTA SPECIFIC. NFS Carbon .viv (EA Link version) crashes upon bootup on Vista due to an incompatible version of the PACE DRM Tool. Patch 1.4 utilises an updated, Vista compatible PACE DRM Tool
well i am downloading the patch now and will see if it works on vista home premium because i have played same installation dvd to install this game on xp last year and it worked like charm but in vista i am not able to see the racing warning even after having nfsc installed on my vista laptop for 30 mins.
I don’t have vista and i downloaded the patch and it still wont work
Will it work on the Carbon demo? I have an Intel Core 2 Duo chip set. Could that be the problem?
look… i have windows vista home premium… i played nfs carbon and ive reached the 21th street or something like this races… in the middle of the race the game f**king crashes !!!! vista suxxx

i got patch 1.4, after i run da patch , da blak box came up and it went through some updated stuff, but after that , i open da game and it still say that 1.2 version, any1 can tell me how do i fix it to play online game, pleaz,i reali need it
ok i bought this game and im having problems all the time since i did that. first it didnt run than it started crashing at the middle of the race i can’t load/save careers and now i cant even run the fucking game . i have patch 1.4 , windows vista procc amd athlon 64 x2 dual core 5600+ 2.90 ghz 2 gb ram 500 gb hdd ati radeon hd 2600 xt … anyone could help me in someway to start playing normally ?
