Turning Point: Fall of Liberty caught my attention a month ago when Codemasters released one creative trailer for the game. This new trailer expands on the story a little more and shows off some of the actual gameplay. The game begins in 1953 in an alternate history where the U.S. never entered World War II until Germany spontaneously attacked New York City. You’ll play a civilian who gets caught up in the middle of the attack and decides to fight back. From the looks of things, you’ll be able to shoot weapons in an FPS view, but you’ll also be able to pull off some acrobatic moves from a third-person perspective. And most importantly, you’ll be able to use some combat moves to pummel the Nazis that come raining from the sky. Cool story, new gameplay twists, a chance to kill Nazis in a technically-not-WWII scenario: count me in.

Don’t people ever get tired of fighting Nazis? I realize they are the bad guys that everyone recognizes, but good grief. Give us some new bad guys please.
I love the concept of this one, its a great take on the WWII genre FPS shooter. And yes, fighting Nazis never gets old.
Maybe if they introduce a successor to Hitler and make him really interesting, that would breathe some life back into it. But yeah, I like the concept of meta-history. It allows us the take something that really happened and fictionalize it to the point of being fresh again.
