channelwood age Myst DS Gets Dated for North America

Those seeking a new adventure game for the DS (even if it isn’t technically new), like myself, will be happy to hear that Empire Interactive has announced that Myst is now slated for a Q1 2008 release.

The classic PC point-and-click adventure game isn’t a straight port; it will take advantage of the dual screens and includes an entirely new age, known as the RIME Age. New sounds, effects, video clips and graphics have been created for the Age, which can only be found in the PSP version and DS versions of the game, in addition to realMyst.

I can’t wait to travel through The Channelwood Age again; I remember finding it by fluke when I first played the game many years back. If you’ve never had the opportunity to play the game, it’ll certainly be worth a look when it’s released, as it was a truly groundbreaking game for its time.
