Do you enjoy those slideshows of movie trivia that play before a movie in the theater? Yeah, me neither, which is why it should come as good news that MSNBC recently launched Newsbreaker Live to a few theaters around the United States.
Modeled after the video game classic, Breakout, the game uses motion sensor technology so that the audience can act as a human joystick to control the paddle. The object is to break apart all the blocks while collecting power-ups and news headlines; which not only provide extra points, but can be read at the end of the round. Using RSS feeds and a Mac mini, the newest headlines are constantly streamed to be incorporated into the game. For now, it will be played in select theaters in Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia before the some of the most anticipated summer blockbusters, like Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean.

That sounds…….cool?
