Mr. Driller Online Coming to XBLA Next Week; Ikaruga to Follow

What was mere rumor awhile back may become a reality as early as next week. Apparently, someone working the Japanese Xbox site has been dropping the ball lately as two new XBLA games have been dated before any official announcements have been made. Mr. Driller Online is now listed on the site with a release day of April 2nd. To top that off, yesterday had Ikaruga — the popular Gamecube shooter — listed with an April 9th release, until it was pulled. Of course there’s no guarantee that North America will get these games at the same time, but they haven’t released an XBLA title earlier in Japan before. Maybe it’s a good thing that nothing decent has come out on XBLA lately, since now it seems the developers are making a strong move for my MS points.
