Mountain Biking Adrenaline: Another Pointless Use of “Bullet Time”

Nobilis and their development partner Saloman recently announced through a press release that Mountain Biking Adrenaline for the PS2 should be shipped in Q2/Q3 of this year. The document described the game in full detail, but I can sum it up in one short phrase: SSX on a bike with “bullet time.” And yes, they actually used the term “bullet time.” This of course raises some philosophical questions. For instance, if there are no bullets present, can you actually have “bullet time” (take that, tree falling in a forest with no one around). It’s pretty obvious the developers are straining for something interesting to say when they start describing “4 extreme locations” and “8 camera positions” as if this were something to get excited about.
