Mount and Blade Finally Gets a Trailer

Paradox Interactive invites you to charge into the fray as it releases the first trailer to showcase, the medieval action RPG by TaleWorld, Mount and Blade.
For those of you who enjoy slaying their enemies from the comfort of an elevated position, the trailer brings to life the art of horse-mounted combat and focuses on typical cavalry skirmishes.
So don’t waste a second more. Grab hold of the reins, slide down your visor and hold your shield close. Steady your nerves and draw you bow, sword, axe, hammer or lance. Spur your horse forwards and charge into the fray, straight into glorious battle!
Mount and Blade will be available on retail shelves in September.

This better be portable systems only
Them graphics are … yeh ..
Wow, this game doesn’t look good
re: iKiddo
you obviously haven’t played or heard of Mount and Blade. The graphics are, I agree, so-so. but this is the only game where you can fight on horses like really fighting on horses (charging with lances, horse archery, etc), where you can fight with swords like really fighting with swords.
Please don’t confuse this game with others which have excellent graphics but absolutely nothing inside – M&B sacrifices eyecandy for core gameplay.
By the way, I have purchased the game a couple of years back (u can buy the Beta) and have been playng it on and off since then AND at the time it was being developed by a husband and wife team in their bedroom, they have grown into maybe a few more friends in their living room since then, from what I know.
So there it is in a nutshell – this game is being developed by a very minor independent unit yet it delivers more than what the major developers can dish out – bar none (except I have to admit graphics wise but graphics can only entertain me for a few minutes before the gameplay becomes the major factor in a game). It introduces to RPG several unique features which have only been dreamt of before (I particularly like the no magic potions approach
)
It had been released as a beta for a few years yet despite it being unfinished there are already several mods released for it(most notable are the Lord of the Rings mod – the best LoTR game there is).
One of the best games ever made, and I don’t say that lightly.
As Ramon said you can only say this game is a bad one because you havent played it. Download the free trial beta and you’ll see… This game mixes action with strategy and RPG and have the best horse combat that I have seen in an pc game.
And there’s lots of people addicted to it (check the forums if you want to have an idea http://forums.taleworlds.net/index.php) and an huge modding comunity with lots of incredible work done. There are classic age mods, reinascence mods, napoleonic age mods, prehistoric mods, fantasy mods, apocaliptic mods, mods with firearms, mods with elephants, mods with naval battles, mods where you can build your own city like in AOE, RPG mods and lots of diferent stuff.
Just try the free trial version and check the forums. You’ll not regret it.
You can download the free beta trial at taleworlds.com

Wow that game is just pure horrid .. Its like dystany warriors mod for oblivion with very bad graphics.
While it’s true that the graphics are not quite top of the line quality, there are few games available that offer the kind of depth that M&B boasts. It’s a shame that the devs kick the modding community around so damn much though. “Backwards compatability” seems to be a term they’ve never heard.
Looool!
Its your oppinion and you have your right to it.
I (and much more ppl) have a very different one
(I was replying to iKiddi)
Wow, this game has drained many many hours from my life. I can’t wait to see it in stores. Yes the Graphics are a bit old, but it’s still fun.
Oh stop *****ing about the graphics , maybe if you played the game you’d know that the gameplay more than makes up for it.
That was also to Ikiddo , his nickname really fits him.
