Retro PSOne fans can prepare for busy times next weekend. Five PSOne titles will be hitting the PS3’s online store for download next Friday.
Crash Bandicoot, Wipeout, Medievil, Jumping Flash, and Syphon Filter will all be showing up on the store. All five of these titles will work for the PSP and PS3, although they’ll only be available through the online store.
Also, Calling all Cars is still listed for a June 22 release, with Super Stardust HD to hit June 29.
Personally, I think the PSOne games will outsell the Wii Virtual Console games in the long run, simply because the Virtual Console content is kinda iffy at best. I’ve yet to purchase anything from it. However, Medievil and Syphon Filter would be must buys.
What classic games would you like to see in online stores for download?

Iffy at best? You haven’t even tried it? You sir, fail. You’re making a judgement based on something you haven’t even tried. I’ll tell you that the Virtual Console is a very reliable thing. Is it better than being able to download PS1 games? Not necessarily, better, just different. I say the coolest thing they have, is the ability to play the games on PSP. That is cool. Now if Nintendo released something like that for DS, I’d be all over it.
Oh, I’ve got a Wii, and I’ve been all over Virtual Console’s games. I just haven’t seen any content that looked worth money to me. I could probably have stated it better, eh?
Isn’t it easier to download an emulator(for snes, nes, genesis, etc) and game packs from the internet, rather than paying for games on the wii virtual console?…i mean, you would only need to buy a controller(like Logitech’s Wingman) and you’ll have as many games as the wii store will have in twenty years . It makes more sense.
I think that you should check your sources. Games and content have been launching most every Thursday for the last few months and i don’t think that they are just now going to roll over to a friday launch. Further more the game you listed as coming out on the 22, Calling all cars, is already out. Perhaps they will add a map pack or some such thing. Good luck with that news reporting.
