More Killzone 2 Gameplay Footage to Drool Over…I Guess

Sony has revealed another video of just gameplay footage for the highly anticipated Killzone 2. It basically shows a quick run through of a “Warehouse” level, which means lots of running around and shooting Helghast. I was really impressed by the last trailer, but this one just doesn’t do it for me. Without some fancy editing, the game just looks like your typical FPS with some really good graphics, that are unfortunately used to paint a very dull gray landscape. Maybe it’s more fun to play than it looks, but we won’t really find out until 2009 I guess. And with that, let the flaming begin…

i’m not sure what you were expecting. . . just like halo (a typical fps with good graphics) it’s not killzones fault, the genre is just stale from being bled out over two console generations. this gen is kind of handicapped in my opinion, b/c the jump from ps1 to ps2 allowed developers to do all kinds of new 3d tricks, whereas in this gen, all you can really do is make the same games, just high res with better graphical touches. IMO this game looks awesome, but only b/c i knew from the beginning it was just gonna be a fps with sick graphics.
I think it looks interesting. It’s got the muted tones and cover mechanic of Gears, the weapons and FPS aspects of CoD4… Looks like a winning combination.
Wow look at the horrible AI
I just can’t get excited over Killzone 2 after the mediocre first game, and with the excellent looking Resistance 2 coming out.
I’m a 360 owner, but I did love Killzone on the ps2.
It got shaky reviews, but in my opinion, the earlier city levels of Killzone just werent matched on anything else.
And the fully rendered player model was a brilliant addition that no-one else had really used.
I’m curious about this one, if it turns out any good, it might sway me into picking up a PS3 also (that and lil big planet).
But so far, I havent seen the same atmosphere the first had.
And as the other guy said, the AI looks distinctly last gen.

It ok though… It’s easy to confuse the two, lol.

absolute failure, the gameplay couldn’t look any more dull than that.
