Microsoft has entered into an final agreement with Limelight Networks that aims to provide Xbox Live customers with more reliable service.

“Limelight is a web content delivery company, with customers like Facebook and MySpace. The company will provide Microsoft with media streaming and content delivery services over the course of a multiyear agreement. The idea is that Limelight’s services will help Live deliver its content via less congested routes on the ‘net”.

Microsoft has received plenty of bad press surrounding the Xbox 360 failure rate, and so it’s always nice to hear news like this. Of the 3 major video game console companies, Microsoft is already providing top notch service compared to Sony and Nintendo. This new deal should make Xbox Live even better.

Now if Microsoft can only offer the same reliability with their consoles, then I’ll be a happy camper.

yeah I know what you are saying. So far, I have had no problems with my Elite. It even seems to run cooler than the launch console I purchased.
