Microsoft Running Out Of Boxes For Dead 360’s?

Over at Joystiq, they’re reporting on the story of an Officer Craig Ravitch of the New York Police Department. Apparently, Officer Ravitch had his 360 kick the bucket on him last Friday. He said that the “constant breaking down is amazing” to him.
As he’s had to do three times in the past, he contacted Microsoft. That’s right, he’s going to be on his FOURTH 360 once this one gets replaced. Anyway, he was told he’d get a box to return the console in by Tuesday. But, when he called to check, he was told, “the service department is running very low on boxes, so it will take a little longer than expected to get that box” out to him. Does this mean that Microsoft is getting so many defective boxes that they can’t keep enough boxes on hand for shipping?
Honestly, it’s getting to the point where you have to figure in the cost of an extended warranty and shipping back to Microsoft into the purchase price of a 360. That PS3 price point is looking lower all the time.

you know they did that on purpose dont you! they made them to break easily and be easy to fix. that way they can get them back when they break with the warranty, fix them and send them back to people as new ones, without them actually having to spend the entire amount of money it would cost to replace the entire box. plus they get more money for the warranty and shipping, which more than makes up for the cost of the defective chip they replace. quite a common practice in bussiness, especially for greedy vagina faces like microsoft who have also been previously convicted for shady bussiness practices. whooowooooooooo blow that whistle, you’re goin down
!
I have had the Xbox 360 since it came out and it has never broken down on me once I am not sure what people are doing to it to make it break but mine has never had a problem.
You know that they repair it for free and cover the shipping cost. I have had to go through it twice.
This thing is a piece of junk. Im buying a PS3..or a Wii or something else that doesn’t break down.
NOONE WILL PICK UP MY PHONE CALL!!! I’VE BEEN CALLING THESE 360 PEOPLE FOREVER TO GET HELP BUT THEY KEEP PLAYING THEIR G–A–Y A** TECHNO MUSIC.. stupid ring of death…how am i supposed to get it replaced if i dont know who the F*** to send it to
man that sucks, do xbox owners buy 2 360’s? they play one while the other is in the shop and getting repaired then once the other one breaks they ship that out hoping the original 1 will come back in time?
