Looks like it’s a bad week for Microsoft. After the announcement that Peter Moore would be leaving, it also turns out that the annual “X07″ event — where Microsoft showcases everything Xbox in Europe — has been canceled. Speaking on a Squad XP podcast, Aaron Greenberg, the product manager for the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, mentioned that the annual event had been scrapped for this year.

“There is not a real X07 this year but I think that we will figure out some way to talk about 2008 some time at a different event or a different type of programme.”

Unfortunately, he didn’t seem to provide a reason for canceling the event, but this does put a big hole in Microsoft’s promotional schedule for the year.
