Microsoft Also Sends Swag to Xbox 360 Gamer Whose Console Was Ruined

Ah, yes. Who could forget the tragic story of Nathaniel, the gamer who sent his beloved Xbox 360, which was covered in signatures and art from numerous figures in the gaming community, off for repairs only to have it returned to him wiped clean? Thanks to the power of the internet, his tale reached the ears of both Bungie and Microsoft who swore they would right this wrong somehow. Bungie sent Nathaniel a package a couple of weeks ago brimming with some unique swag, and now Microsoft has sent along their own gift: a new Xbox 360 console covered in signatures from numerous people from the Xbox 360 and Bungie teams to the Rooster Teeth guys to Bill Gates. Luke McKay (whose work was featured on Nathaniel’s original unit) even drew up some special Halo art work on the console. The package also included a few games, some 360 swag, and a signed picture of Bill Gates. I’d say justice has been served and then some.

Damn I need my Nintendo Wii signed by a couple people from Nintendo, have the Wii sent to their repair service to get “my disc lens cleaned”, have them accidentally wipe off all the signatures, post my story on the internet and then PROFIT!
This time if the kid has ANY brains at all, he will lock up that console somewhere safe, and buy another 360 to use for his daily gaming. He’d have to be a complete dumb **** to actually use that console and risk having it die.

Okay honestly, this guy got spoiled way too much
I cannot believe this whiny little pissant got REWARDED for his hissy fit. Most people would say “Wow, not only does my console now work, but they cleaned it too! What great service!” Given at least one of the signatures was a derogatory comment about the Xbox 360, it’s logical to believe that the folk at the repair centre thought it had been vandalized.
This is pathetic and shows that all you need to do these days is get some sob story on Digg, and even though you’re a whiny little tard, because most people reading the story are ALSO whiny little tards, you’ll get enough attention for your temper tantrum that the company involved has to be seen to do something, just to keep the tard collective happy.

Do you know the meanings of the words you’ve written? For a start, he wasn’t whiny because he reported horrific service. As a paying customer, he has every right under the sun to report this. Next, rewarded? Let’s see where he was rewarded in all of this for suffering from bad service; expensive equipment broken, sent in for repairs, preventing him from use of it for some time. The sentimental value (which I believe in America IS taken into account in a court of law) of this UNIQUE console was destroyed due to lack of satisfactory communication within a company provided with multiple warnings.
The only really big ‘whiny tard’ on here is you. Jealously, perhaps?

Why are you telling him that he should not use it? If you pay for X amount of anything, you should be able to use it. These signatures have absolutely no effect on the running of the console, so he should be able to play it. The sentimentality of this is that the console WAS used AND was ALSO maintained in this manner.
I really think some people need to get it through their narrow sight that what they’re writing doesn’t make any sense whatsoever and that thinking about this before writing/typing will reduce your perceived stupidity. I’m sorry, but, c’mon.
Because it’s worth alot of money and think about it if he has another perfectly good console he’s probably not going to want to risk say it getting damanged or the ink wiped or smudged, he may have siblings or yound children in the house which may affect it and also it’s better on a plynth than in your living room!
Then that defeats the whole object of the console. In his original article, he wrote about how he USED the console. There is decreased sentimental value to it if he doesn’t use the thing.
