Microsoft’s Top Priority is Europe

Microsoft’s goal with the Xbox 360 is to win the console war all across the world, which is why they’re now zeroing in on Europe. In an interview with Bloomberg, Microsoft’s group product manager, Aaron Greenberg, said, “The number one objective is to win on a global basis and that may mean winning some markets and losing others.”
“Europe is our priority focus right now.”
Losing others? So is Microsoft actually admitting they don’t stand a chance in Japan?
“It’s difficult to see Microsoft capturing a significant share” in Japan, said Hiroshi Kamide, a Tokyo-based games analyst at KBC Securities Japan. “After two years on the market, Xbox’s position in the country is such that it makes you wonder whether further efforts are even worth it.”
Europe seems like the more feasible goal, since the Xbox 360 has done absolutely abysmal since its release. Despite having a year-long head start, it has sold only 446,201 units, compared to the Wii’s 3.49 million and the PS3’s 1.17 million.

I don’t like Microsoft. I have nothing against the Xbox, or anything like that…. other than it being more likely to fail..
but Microsoft can suck on boners all day long as far as I care.
