Metallica Classic Song Featured in Guitar Hero III

Activision seems to be on a press rampage. After Rock Band blew the socks off the competition at this year’s E3, it seems Activision is doing all they can to turn attention towards Guitar Hero III. While some of the songs for GH3 have been announced, there are a few big names still to be revealed.

One of the biggest, as just hinted at by Activision, is Metallica. Yes, Metallica. The same band that not so long ago started the fight against digital music services such as Napster. Seems their temperaments have lessened of late, as both Rock Band and Guitar Hero III have digital tracks from previous albums.

The track featured on GH3 will be their classic song “One”. It’s pretty exciting news, as “One” is considered one the band’s greatest songs. Now if they could just have the entire “Black” album as downloadable content, maybe we can forget everything Metallica has made over the last 10 years. Maybe.

    They’ve got to get Metallica in this. Now that Rock Band has ‘Enter Sandman,’ GHIII desperately needs something similar to compete. Here’s hoping this rumor comes true, and we get to enjoy both games this holiday season.

    Dude, the one song i’ve wanted to play on GH is metallicas one. I cant believe this…soo awesome. Oh, and Andrew, which metallica sucks, 80s or 90+? Cuz if youre talking about the 80s man, idc. If youve only heard that st anger crap, thats nothing. Nothing at all compared to them in their prime. :grin:
