Metal Gear fans breathed a sigh of relief today as the Metal Gear Solid 4 gameplay was finally premiered by Hideo Kojima. This was the first time anyone had seen the gameplay on the PS3 hardware.
According to 1up.com, the audience got to see Snake using his camo suit to disguise himself as a bronze statue, as well as hide in barrels and trash cans. And now you don’t even have to blow your cover to disable the enemy. Snake was seen knocking soldiers down while rolling around in the barrel.
The most exciting part is that an online multiplayer mode will be included in the game, and more details will be announced next week.
Oh, and the most interesting tidbit was Snake “reviving” himself as he is given a female idol magazine. Is this a masturbation reference?

Me wants it, me wants it now!
Why is there an FF13 picture along with an article about Metal Gear Solid 4?
Sorry, but Metal Gear did not debut on the NES, it started on the MSX and was ported to the NES later. Additionally, the story and dialog were altered and the actual battle with the Metal Gear was removed. Furthermore, Metal Gear 2 for the NES does not fit into the Metal Gear storyline as it was created without Kojima unlike Metal Gear 2 for the MSX. Nintendo fanboys, please do your research.
Looks good

There was one on my side too, today its the right picture.
But yeah this game better deliver, it’s on the top of my priority list of “why I’m buying a PS3″
