Mercenaries 2 Gets a Trailer and a Release Date

There’s a new trailer up for Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, which is probably the first we’ve heard of this game in a long time. So now, Pandemic Studios has come back with a new trailer as well as a new release date: August 31, 2008. Based on the trailer, it looks like they’re actually focusing on telling a story a bit more and giving the characters some personality. That and of course they’ve added some insane explosions. It already looks like a more than worthy successor to the last game.

what ticks me off about this is that its going to be released about a year after it was originally going to be, when they said they delayed it to avoid “clashing with halo 3″.
i cant help but wonder if that was true, why have they left it so long?
also it comes out less than a week after saints row 2, the other game i’m REALLY looking forward to.
but as long as they keep to this date and dont delay it AGAIN(!), i’ll be grateful that its going to be out before christmas.
