Mega Man Definitely NOT in Smash Bros. Brawl

Sorry, blue bomber fans. All those rumors about Mega Man making an appearance in the upcoming Smash Bros. Brawl are just that: rumors. The character’s creator, Keiji Inafune, recently addressed the question in a podcast for Bionic Commando:
Well, I really do love Super Smash Brothers. It’s a great series…but, Nintendo hasn’t asked me yet if they can use Mega Man in their game. I’m still waiting…we have a little bit of time left, it’s not coming out for another few months. They might get around to asking us if we’d like to put Mega Man in Super Smash Brothers. Maybe if somebody from Nintendo is listening to this podcast, they’ll give me a call.
So there you have it. Unless Nintendo asks to put Mega Man in right this very second, he’s not going to be showing up. It’s too bad, really. Might be nice to have the character in a good game for a change.

When you think about it though – Capcom also has Ryu or Captain Commando. Mega-Man would play great, though wouldn’t he be somewhat similar to Kirby in regards to having people’s powers?

Sega said they hadn’t been asked about including Sonic either. Look how that turned out. Nintendo like to keep their secrets, well… secret. Plus the character’s creator has said Megaman has been in games by Capcom without him being told before.

Actually, I went on Smash Dojo today, and it said the game is delayed until March 9. This could mean Megaman is in brawl.
Actually, Sebastian, only the American version (and I guess PAL, too) was delayed. Considering how the Japanese version came out today (as in the game was already finalized quite a while ago), there’s almost no way for the add to have happened so quickly (I’m sure it takes quite some time to put a new character in. A month isn’t enough). However, I do believe that there’s a possibility the guy is lying. For example, “Nintendo didn’t ask to use megaman” can be a half truth of “HAL called, they want to use RockMan. We accepted.”
The REAL reason it was deylayed was because too many people preordered it.

I found out a way to play as megaman!First,you select samus,then you move the cursor to her picture,then you press A.
