Mega Man 9 Coming to XBLA and PSN as well as WiiWare

I knew this announcement was going to come sooner or later. Somehow it didn’t make sense to me for Capcom to release one helluva fan service and then only submit it to one downloadable library. Anyway, it seems that the upcoming Mega Man 9 will be making it’s way to the XBLA and PSN, in addition to the previously-announced WiiWare. In case you haven’t heard, the game will be an actual sequel to the NES series, complete with old-school sprites and gameplay. Since I can’t count the number of times I’ve played through several of the classic games, it’s nice to see I won’t even have to dust off my Wii for this one. Now I just to figure out a way to get my old NES controller hooked up to my 360 or PS3. Lost of pushing doesn’t seem to be working.

Ah excellent news. I was admittedly a tiny bit worried it would wind up a Wii exclusive. I have a few friends that will be ecstatic to hear this.
Well I guess the more the merrier… Hope WiiWare gets it first though.
