Poor Phil Mig.
I feel sorry for you. I can understand not liking a game, but always attacking other comments and the people that have authored them is what has me pitying you the most. Oh and excuse my grammar if I've made some mistakes, but english is my second of three (3) fluent languages. And the pre-teens, teens and adults that post on this site should be able to do so without worrying about someone they've never met trying to bully them. I see only one truly immature poster in this thread, and I think you already know who you are. And no, it isn't me.

Sorry but bitching about someones grammar is so 2005. Not everyone has english as their native (or second) language. Furthermore, I'm gonna introduce you to a certain word. It's called Nostalgia.

Definition:
sentimental recollection: a mixed feeling of happiness, sadness, and longing when recalling a person, place, or event from the past, or the past in general.

The way tf2 looks, is to me, being a hardcore TF and TFC player in ages past, based around exactly nostalgia. One of the great features in TF and TFC respectively were the fact that the players models actually differed. Too many games have the exact same models and just slap on a different texture on your class, so you hardly even see the difference. It's an important feel for the TF series that it's easy to spot the difference in peoples classes without having to concentrate on their textures or weaponry.

Furthermore, the gore is even more important. If bodyparts didn't go flying around when I play TF, I'd be utterly bored. It's pretty obvious - with this game being based on the source engine - that valve could easily make the graphics ten times what they are - hence, it's pretty obvious that that the cartoonish looks are done purpously for an effect.

If you don't like it, nobody really cares, you probably didn't like TF and TFC either, in which case you're really not the market group this game is aiming for. I for one found the captions utterly hilarious, it's spot on TFC.

Phil Migrowen, you should calm down. Graphics and visuals are not everything. I don't care if they bleed orange juice, so long as the game is fun.
And, another thing, don't argue over grammar, age, or spelling. It's the internet. Welcome to the land of we don't care.

"im no teen"

Then you must be 12 or under. If you are an adult, you'd have to be retarded because your writing and verbiage are pathetic.

"i dont bitch about things that doesn't matter to anyone"

Your poor grammar aside, neither do I. I complained about this game because it matters to ME, fool.

"never ever heard something so stupid"

You must have never heard yourself speak then or read your own writing.

"what did u think cartoon-caracters bled?? paint??"

Moron, the point is that cartoon characters usually don't bleed. The visual style of this game suggests that the characters would and should not bleed. That level of realism taints the game.

"lol…it's no cartoon - its a game"

Look at the video, fool. It's a game modeled in a cartoonish style reminiscent of a Pixar movie such as The Incredibles.

lol...im no teen, im not lazy and i dont bitch about things that doesn't matter to anyone...

quote: "It would be like having gore in The Incredibles movie. It's not funny or edgy. It's just sick. Either go with a realistic look and feel and include the gore, or stick with the cartoon look and take it out"

"' unless it's a farm! '
I can't stop laughing."

Boy, you don't know what funny is then. That's not funny because the preceding lines and other crap aren't funny either. They're just demented.

Speaking of the video, it demonstrates two major things wrong with the game.

First, trying to give each class's character a unique identity and personality makes no sense because there will be multiples of each of these characters running around in the game even on the same side in large games. It ruins the illusion of a class being a specific cartoon character when you see a bunch of them running around on the screen at the same time.

The second thing wrong with the game is the appearance of blood especially so much of it. The game looks like a Pixar cartoon until the blood gushing and splattering appears. Then it becomes unsavory and repulsive because it has just crossed the line that betrays the expectations of its look. It would be like having gore in The Incredibles movie. It's not funny or edgy. It's just sick. Either go with a realistic look and feel and include the gore, or stick with the cartoon look and take it out.
