What? You expected someone to make an original game based on the movie? You may recall that Legendary Interactive recently announced they intended to publish games based on Pretty in Pink, Clueless, and Mean Girls. Well, now MTV Multiplayer managed to unearth some details on games and discovered that the Mean Girls game would play almost exactly like Puzzle Quest. Of course, instead of rearranging gems, players will have to match up beauty products; and instead of playing through a fantasy-style plot, the game’s story will take players through the trials of high school. Finally, in lieu of magic spells, players will use “rumors, pranks and putdowns” to give themselves the upper hand.
Additionally, the Pretty in Pink game will be a hidden-picture affair, while the Clueless game will have you essentially putting on a fashion show. Each of these games will be available for digital download later on, with Mean Girls arriving this December. Aaaand…hmm…nope, not even the Puzzle Quest-style gameplay can get me interested in this game.

Ahh, the “causual gamer” trend. Well if they feel that Bejeweled playing soccer moms with their heads stuck in the 80s are an un-tapped market, all the power to them.
