Maxim Lists the Top Video Game Heroes of All Time

Maxim has compiled a list of the top video game heroes of all time. They plucked out twelve of the best world-savers, do-gooders, and general badasses in all of video game history for your perusal. They span the full history of video games and include some obvious favorites, like Mario and Master Chief. It’s a pretty concise list, but I would’ve included a few others. My top five at least would’ve probably more resembled this:
1. Link (from The Legend of Zelda)
2. Ryu (from Street Fighter)
3. Mega Man
4. Ratchet (from Ratchet and Clank)
5/6. Sam and Max (from Sam and Max: Season One and Two)

The should have changed the name to Top 12 video game characters for PRE-TEENs.
Are you kidding me? What happened to Marcus Fenix and Max Payne. Those guys had more character in their pinkys than some of these cartoony EMO’s.
1) Me in my now legendary role as 1000bhp Nissan R390 driver in Gran Turismo 3
2) Sold Snake (how the hell was he not on the list?)
3) CJ from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
4) Kratos from God of War
5) Ratchet
And an honorable mention to Captain Price from COD4 who is my current hero

3)Master Chief because he is a killing machine , Hes a super human!

5) The person from Portal because he found out the cake was a lie and still didn’t go crazy.

1.There’s no discussion about Link being on the first place because let’s face it, who’s bravier, smarter, skilled, noble and coolest than him? The people who have played at least one of his games, specially ”ocarina of time” would agree with me. But I think Solid Snake is missing on that list, as well as Mario.

if you got a better top 5 then id like to see it…
1.commander shepard (bad one) because its funny when you pull the gun on conrad verner and i suppose because he saves the galaxy and such.
2. Gordon Freeman because he wears coke bottle glasses and he is freakin awesome. (Half Life)
3. Main character from Bioshock (Jack)
4. Little Jacob because it is really cool when he brings you the black hawk- GTA 4
5. last and sort of least is Captain Price from COD 4 because he slides that gun to you
and these guys could take down anyone including jesus to all you religous freaks who put link as numero uno
