There's something to be said about a movie placing homage to the very thing it owes namesake to. Unfortunately, these Hollywood types tend to do their own thing and treat the source material condescendingly. Of course, everyone has an opinion on what they think makes a great movie. I personally saw Silent Hill as staying on the path. Hitman, unfortunately, was completely lost in the wilderness.

You can't judge a movie based on a trailer alone. However, having played the Max Payne games (several times), the only reason for having supernatural things on screen is due to the drug Valkyr. For me, it is that simple. If they are planning on marketing it any other way, then major negative points. They could just have simply called the movie Constantine 2, and probably sold more tickets in the long run.

And thanks to the net, it's obvious they are borrowing ideas from both games to create a new story. I have no problem with that. But all the special effects and bullet-time ad-nauseum can't buy me these days (Wanted, I'm giving you the evil eye). If Max Payne the movie pulls off an amazing story, then perhaps I will be able to look past the annoying superficial details. Given my adoration for both games, this movie has some big shoes to fill.

That looks great

BTW to me Mila Klunis is a bit like Penelope Cruz and Rachel Bilson. I am willing to overlook the fact that they sound like they do because they look like they do
