The Sci-Fi channel and Microsoft have partnered together to bring a special two hour episode of Battlestar Galactica: Razor to select movie theaters. People lucky enough to live near Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco or Seattle can view the episode two weeks before it premieres on the network.
BSG fans will have to be 17 and older to get in because the series is rated TV-14, and BioWare and Microsoft’s Mass Effect, a sponsor of the screenings, is rated mature.
Sci Fi parent NBC Universal plans to release an unrated version of “Razor” on DVD ten days after the network premier.
Mass Effect will be launching November 20 in North America, November 23 in Europe and November 22, 2007 Australia with Limited editions available for the US and EU.
