mass effect Mass Effect Sells a Million

I reserved some doubt about just how well Mass Effect was going to sell, but there’s no longer any need to worry about its success; according to Microsoft’s Jeff “What’s Your Contribution to Society” Bell, the game has sold one million units worldwide in just three weeks.

Keep in mind, that is worldwide, but it’s an impressive number nonetheless, given the niche genre it’s in combined with the amount of time it sold that amount in.

While I think more highly of the game, Shawn’s review of Mass Effect is worth checking out if you’re at all interested in Mass Effect. It’ll give you a good feel for the game’s ups and downs, but what it comes down to is this is a game that should be in every 360 owner’s collection.

Mass Effect may be niche in a way, but it still has just enough to offer to gamers who enjoy all kinds of games.

  2. Norbit says:

I dont know where Microsoft are getting their figures from but according to VG charts Mass Effect has sold 701,914 worldwide as of December 8th and sales have dropped off considerably over the last week. Its still very good but way off what Microsoft are saying.
