Next Thursday will definitely make for a nice PlayStation Store update, as the demo of one of the hottest PlayStation 3 exclusives of the year, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, will be made available. Despite what we had heard previously about November 20 being the release date, the game will actually be available one day earlier on Monday, November 19.

Those of you excited for the game will also be excited to know that Naughty Dog has already proclaimed the game as a franchise, just as Jak & Daxter and Crash Bandicoot were before it. Speaking with Opposable Thumbs, Christophe Balestra said, “Crash [Bandicoot] was a franchise, Jak & Daxter was a franchise and yes of course Uncharted will be a franchise. It takes a lot of effort to create a universe like Uncharted and there is so much more we want to do. It would be a waste if we didn’t have a sequel to make it even better than the first one.”

We don’t have any further details regarding the demo, but it seems likely we’ll learn more via PlayStation.Blog. We’ll be keeping an eye out.

if you continued with jak and daxter(no jak X racing)story mode for PS3  you would have easily surpassed the number of games sold from Uncharted Drake's fortune. It could have ended up as the greatest series ever as insomniac will now excel greatly with their continuing of ratchet and clank.
