MapleStory Europe Launches Big Bangers

If you miss Halloween already and can’t wait for the Christmas festivities to start, Nexon’s free to play MMORPG MapleStory has another two weeks of festivities for you to bridge the gap. As part of the series of European cultural events with a MapleStory flare, European players will have a blast at the fireworks Festival.

The two week event, which runs from November 15th to 29th, puts a truly MapleStory twist on England’s famous Guy Fawkes celebrations. To take part in the completely free to participate event players must first join together with friends to form a party, before hunting down seven secret letters hidden across the special Guy Fawkes map. Once these have been collected, players must work together to defeat a special MapleStory Europe version of the infamous Guy Fawkes himself – only then can the party walk away with a multitude of festive firework spoils.

MapleStory Europe’s Cash shop is offering special event items such as a Guy Fawkes inspired mask and a special accessory that sets off mini firework displays wherever your character goes. To celebrate in a more patriotic fashion, pick up the new England flag face paint.

MapleStory is a Free to Play MMORPG which first launched in South Korea April 2003. Gamers in Europe can gamers in Europe can play MapleStory in five different languages – English, French, German, Spanish and Dutch. The game is extremely cute and will have you saying “Awww, isn’t that sweet” even as your character is being prettily slaughtered by the adorable little monsters.
