Man Shot Outside Of Norfolk Video-Game Store

News reports are starting to filter in that a man had been shot outside of a GameStop store in Norfolk, Virginia earlier today. Norfolk police are currently on the scene of the shooting in the 7500 block of Tidewater Drive. Reports indicate that victim was conscious during his transport to a local hospital, but not further details have been officially released.
Hopefully, this shooting was not video game related. We don’t need any more stories connecting games to violence, but considering where it happened, it is a possibility. It could also be the simple fact that Norfolk, Virginia is an extremely violent area. This was the 3rd reported shooting in a 24-hour period in the city.

I bet the guy that got shot was the LameStop clerk who annoyed one too many people about whether or not they wanted to pre-order something……..If this is actually what happened I don’t want anyone to misunderstand me here…….I’m not saying what the shooter did was right……I’m just saying that I understand…….
Yeah they annoy me sometimes. I just moved to a new town recently and the GameStop dudes at the one down the street from me are excessively annoying when it comes to the pre-order stuff, etc… but I suppose that’s what they are instructed to do. I worked retail once myself and always felt bad about trying to constantly upsell people.
So this qualifies as gaming news huh?
I’d say it does since it happened at a GameStop. It’s also New Year’s Eve. There isn’t much really going on in the world of video games right now.
