"[prosecuting attorney, Leanne] Isler said during the sentencing hearing Monday. “The defendants could have easily gotten themselves or innocent bystanders shot.”

That's some great exaggeration and fear-mongering there, Leanne. And, it figures coming from a woman. Almost every female prosecutor I've ever come across is a real grandstanding bitch. I hope the residents of your county find out that it will cost them around $25,000 PER YEAR to incarcerate EACH of those clowns because you wanted to inflate your record and show how tough on crime you are.

"The two pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery charges and received the maximum sentencing."

What the fuck?! Who the hell was their lawyer, Lionel Hutz? I've seen public defenders do better than that. You don't plead guilty if you're going to get the maximum sentence. Take a chance with a jury. In addition ten years for an unarmed robbery (an NES zapper is not a real weapon) of $100 is excessive especially when you consider how expensive it is to incarcerate an inmate per year and how crowded most prisons already are.
