Sorry Brian Klima, your Super Smash Bros Brawl proposal has officially been trumped.
Bernie Peng is a computer programming who was trying to come up with the prefect way to propose to his girlfriend Tammy Liu. One day it hit him – he would hack her favorite video game, Bejeweled, so that it would display his intentions when she reached a certain score. Lucky for him she reached that score and said yes to him – they plan to be wed in September.
Now, before you start with the condescending “awwws”, there is more to the story.
Instead of getting ticked off about their game being hacked, Popcap, is instead flying the couple to Seattle for their honeymoon, and the company is also supplying copies of Bejeweled to hand out as wedding favors.
You can now start the obligatory “awwws” all you want. Fair play to you Popcap for being such good sports and having a heart.

she’s holding a nintendo ds.. she’s a keeper.
It’s nice to hear that Popcap isn’t punishing him for it, but instead honoring ingenuity. And the copies of Bejeweled for the wedding guests puts mine and my fiancee’s plans to shame.
And I agree with Jeff; if she’s got a DS in hand enough to be in a candid picture, she is definitely a keeper.
what is it with Chinese people and bejeweled? i have a friend in Hong Kong and that’s ALL SHE PLAYS. my gawd.
Wow, now that’s just epic
Am I the only one who thinks this just like the Super Smash Brothers thing is just plain LAME?!!!!
