LucasArts President Steps Down

In an interesting move, Jim Ward, the longtime president of LucasArts is leaving the position. This was a bit unexpected, but we certainly wish him the best wherever he goes. I’m a little surprised that he would leave prior to the release of The Force Unleashed. It’s still too early to predict sales, but I have a feeling that this game will be the best selling Star Wars console game in history.
“I am so proud of all people and the work we’ve done together at LucasArts over the last four years,” he wrote. “It’s been an incredible experience. Together we’ve rebooted the company and set LucasArts on a path to even greater success. This is a fantastic team and they are positioned for their best year ever,” Ward said in a statement.
