LucasArts Bails from E3 Despite Promising Otherwise

When LucasArts left the ESA, they assured fans and the industry alike that they would still be making an appearance at E3 this year. Well, unfortunately, they have changed their minds.

Their reasoning behind this sudden change of heart is, according to Margaret Grohne “too much noise surrounding” the show. That is a very strange explanation. I would understand if it were because it is no longer a viable event, but I would honestly like to know what they mean by this statement. Is this because they have decided to appear at Activion’s event in LA instead?

I am unsure what this spokesperson for LucasArts means by “too much noise”, but I bet it has something to do with the leaks regarding lay-offs, KOTOR 3, and some of the other bad press the company has received lately. I suppose they are afraid that attendees will bombard them with questions they really do not want to answer.

Hopefully we will soon receive more of a concrete answer than this before July.
