“Love Cat Life”: It’s Like “Nintendogs,” but With Cats

I don’t care how obvious the joke is; there’s no way I’m referring to “Love Cat Life” as “Nintencats”…waitaminute…aw,crap. At any rate, cashing in on the continued popularity of things with fuzzy animals on them, Interchannel will be releasing this game for the Nintendo DS. The game won’t exactly follow in the footsteps of it’s canine cousin though, as it seems the gameplay will involve some mini-games that seem to step into the realm of fantasy a tad. For example, one mini-game will have your cat “singing” karaoke.

My only question is, apart from “kitty karaoke,” can a game like this really replicate the experience of owning a cat? Right now, my cat is dragging one of my socks across the floor and under the bed. Let’s see a video game do that. No, really, I want to see that happen. I’d be impressed, albeit somewhat terrified.
