Portal is a fan favorite amongst gamers, and the lovefest does not look like it is going to end anytime soon, and with a sequel/DLC coming for the game in the not so distant future, it is unlikely that the fanfare will cease anytime soon.

Today, Nick Larsen showed us how much he loves the game by sending us a link to a video he created. Inspired by Portal, this is a stop motion video containing over 1300 individual frames all in Lego fashion, all to the background of “Still Alive”.

I do not know how long it took him to make this, but I imagine the process was painstakingly long. Great job Nick! I may not be a Portal fan, but I enjoyed the video nonetheless.

You can check out more of Nick’s work and view this really cool homage to Portal on his website.

Hey Nick, great Job! This took me back to that awesome toungue-in-cheek moment at the end of Portal which, to me, was the most clever way to end a game….ever. I love this game and can’t wait for more of that damn robot talking shit to me as I destroyed her;)

*My favorite part of the game is one of her pleas to get you to stop just after the incinerator. She says something like, “Remember when you were about to fall into the incinerator and I was like “Goodbye” and you were like “NO WAYY(manly voice)?” —- I’m not sure I’ve ever laughed out loud that much from a book or TV or video game since reading Hitchhikers Guide.

    Man, I love that robot!

And to the author of this article, who’s “not a fan of Portal,” I hope you’ve played all the way though that game!
