Leaked Gameplay Footage for the Crucible Looks Awesome

One interesting tidbit that surfaced amongst the multitude of Xbox 360 and Activision information leaks was this video showing off gameplay footage from the upcoming game, The Crucible. No, it’s not a witch-burning simulator based on the play by Arthur Miller that served as a critique of the 1950’s “Red Scare” during the height of McCarthyism (and let me be the first to say, “dang”). Instead it’s a new action RPG being developed by Silicon Knights and published by Sega. This is probably still an early build for the game, but so far it looks pretty awesome. It kind of reminds me of Silicon Knights’ other project, Too Human, but set in a fantasy world rather than a science fiction one. Hopefully we’ll be hearing more about this once E3 rolls around.

I’m sorry, nothing can have the name “The Crucible” without me thinking about that damn story. I don’t know how many times I was forced to either read the book or watch the movie in my literature classes.
The game does look pretty sweet so far. I wonder if this is supposed to be a Fable-lite.
Haha that portal reminded me of diablo…DAMNIT..now im going to give 3 more months of my life to that infernal game.
Not bad now if only they will make a pc version we need more games to take advantage of DX10.
Reminds me of Freedom Fighters
