I’ve been talking about Audiosurf a lot lately. If you have no idea what the game is about, think of what would happen if someone crosses Tetris, Guitar Hero and Wipeout. That’s basically what you get with Audiosurf. Audiosurf will basically analyze your music and synchronize it to the gameplay tracks. The songs are even analyzed for mood and intensity. Here’s the latest gameplay video that surfaced on YouTube:

£5 on steam for a game that basically lasts as long as you like music…surely that’s a bargain? I might have to look into that.

Sorry for the double, but just found out some highly interesting details:

“Rack up points “riding” your favorite music in Audiosurf, Dylan Fitterer’s innovative new title now available on Steam. Exclusive to the Steam version, Audiosurf includes The Orange Box soundtrack, integrated with the game to enable “Still Alive” surfing and more.”

I bought Auidosurf off Steam and it is extremely worth it. Any songs work with it and its sets up the notes perfectly in sync with the song. It also has global and local highscores and you can see people you add to your friends list’s highscores too. Its an excellent game, especially for the price.

    This game is amazing

I recommend ‘Water From A Vine Leaf [Xylem Flow Remix]‘ by William Orbit for fast paced action or ‘Marquee Moon’ by Television for a more mellow experience.
