Lair Dragons and Control Pack Coming on April 17

In spite of all previous hypocrisy and irony, we learned last week that Japan would be getting an update for Lair that would enable analog stick control on April 17. Too little too late, perhaps, but I was still interested in finding out when lands that are not of the Rising Sun would be receiving this update. Turns out, it’s the same day in the US (and presumably elsewhere) as in Japan – with the PlayStation Store’s relaunch, you’ll find new Lair content, a Sony PR rep confirmed to us today.
The Dragons and Control Pack will include:
- Two New Dragons: The Wind and Poison dragons are now fully playable and added to your stable.
- Analog Flight Control: While flying, control your dragon utilizing the dual analog sticks on your controller.
- DUALSHOCK 3 Rumble support: With the use of the DUALSHOCK 3, every smash, claw and attack is more visceral than ever.
- Remote Play: Reworked Remote Play controls allow players to take the Lair experience on-the-go via PSP (PlayStation Portable) system.
Anyone who tries to play Lair on or after April 17 will be automatically prompted to download an update that includes everything from the add-on pack, with the exception of the new dragons.
There, now we’ve got analog stick control. But are two new dragons and rumble support, coupled with a feature that should have been in the game from launch, going to motivate people to give Lair a second shot?
