Ubisoft has announced that the rock group, Korn, has written and recorded an original song for the upcoming PS3-exclusive, Haze. The song, titled “Haze,” will be released in November to coincide with the game’s release. The song will also be featured on radio and video and will be available for purchase via several online download sites. Lead singer for Korn, Jonathan Davis, has often avowed a love of video games, including other Ubisoft games like Rainbow Six Vegas and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2:

“Gaming for me is a religion and Haze is the s***! I had to come up with a track that can hit up that kind of rush I get from the game and I think we really rocked it!!”

Despite these…erm…inspiring words, it’s worth noting that this does mark a new creative partnership between the music industry and the gaming industry that could pave the way for future collaborations.

“This partnership with Korn is original in the video game industry in that the song will be released and promoted as a full-fledged single, and not just as a download with the video game,” stated Christian Salomon, vice president of worldwide licensing at Ubisoft. “It is a testament to the synergy possibilities between music and video games, which often share the same audience.”

I can’t believe my comment was deleted.

I think both KoRn and Team Free Radical are both sellouts.
I was looking into getting Haze, but never more.

KoRn has gone downhill ever since they started doing commercial bullshit.
