You read the title right folks – Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will have multiplayer capabilities for DS owners to play around with and while there is still not a set release date, there has been some more information on the title unearthed.
Studio Hand and director Tomohiro Hasegawa have promised that the game will be fully rendered in 3D, the L and R buttons will allow players to change the camera angles for a more strategic approach, and the music will be written by Kingdom Hearts alumni Yoko Shimomura. The multiplayer aspect of the game will allow the player to direct the members of Organization XIII, which will independent of the main storyline.
The storyline for the game spans Roxas’ lifetime from being introduced into XIII to the final battle with Riku and will delve into parts of the story that have always left fans wondering. Players will be privy to what Mickey is up to and the identity of the 14th Nobody will finally be revealed as the game will be filled with revelations galore. While there will not be any new worlds to visit in KH 358/2, players will be able to re-visit Agrabah, Illusiopolis, Twilight Town and Wonderland along with remixed and rearranged themes from previous games in the franchise.
