Kids Play Video Games for Charity

Forget running miles, walk-a-thons and television celebrities. Play video games to help out the less fortunate–it’s so much easier.

KTIV news is reporting that the South Dakota Gaming Championships were held this weekend in the name of charity. Viewers and contestants were able to donate money backing competitors in order to help get money to people who need it most, with proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House.

There were two age brackets, 13 and 14, and prizes were given out to the winners. The article did not report what video game was used for competition.

Once again, not a bad idea, and it would probably get a lot more kids motivated these days.
